Privacy Notice
Camp Hostel Lifestyle is a static website: every page is a ready-made file that is sent to your browser as it is. There is no database of readers behind it, no sign-up and no personalised content. This notice sets out the little information that does pass through and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who is responsible
The team behind Camp Hostel Lifestyle is responsible for this website. For anything to do with privacy, write to mail@camp-hostel.com.
Left out on purpose
- It does not use analytics or visitor statistics tools.
- It does not show advertising or load ad scripts.
- It does not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting or social media widgets.
- It does not ask you to create an account or leave comments.
- It does not sell, rent or swap any information about readers.
Information that is processed
Hosting logs
Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider’s servers automatically record technical details such as your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the response code and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and keeping the service available. They are kept only briefly by the provider and are not combined with any other data or used to identify individual readers.
Your cookie-banner choice
When you answer the cookie banner, your browser saves that choice in its local storage so the banner does not appear on every page. The value stays on your own device; it is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. The Cookie Information page describes this stored value in full.
Emails you send
If you write to us, directly or through the form on the contact page (which simply opens your own email program), we receive your email address, any name you include and your message. We use these only to read and answer your message. Correspondence is deleted once it is no longer needed, and kept no longer than two years unless a conversation is still ongoing.
Legal grounds
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process hosting logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website, and emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for access to personal data we hold about you, for correction or deletion, for restriction of processing, and for a copy in a portable format. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. To use any of these rights, email us and we will reply within the time limits set by law. If you feel we have mishandled your data, you can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example in your home country.
Children
Our content is written for a general adult audience, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Updates
If anything about how the site works changes, we will revise this notice and the date below.
